In December we launched our competition giving one organisation the chance to win a free Defibrillator with 1 years free service plan.
We are delighted to congratulate our winning organisation; Lowerhouse Junior School.
Lowerhouse Junior School is based in Burnley and was kindly nominated by Jane Butcher who was inspired by her friend and colleague, Kate Cain.
Kate, a governor of the school and also a cardiac registered nurse noticed that during one of the governors meetings a colleague of hers was looking unwell. Excusing himself during the meeting as he felt unwell, Kate assisted him to the reception where he suddenly stopped breathing.
Kate performed resuscitation and called 999 and eventually got the gentleman breathing again.
This isn’t the only reason why Cardiac health is close to the school’s heart with their Head Teacher, Claire Holgate experiencing a heart attack and Cardiac Arrest at the age of 35.
Concept Hygiene Managing Director Andrew Cotter said, “We are absolutely delighted to supply a free Defibrillator to Lowerhouse Junior School as out competition winner. It is a testament to the caring nature of the school’s governors and teachers that they value the welfare of staff, pupils and visitors by having a defibrillator available for emergency use.”
