Liverpool-based Concept Hygiene, providers of washroom services and serviced defibrillators, ran a competition on social media to give away one of their ZOLL defibrillators.
Poppy and Jack’s, based in Ainsdale, were the lucky recipients of the prize, after starting fundraising for their own unit. The parents of the children attending the nursery had spotted the prize on social media channels and a number of nominations came in.
The defibrillator is now in situ at Poppy and Jacks and all the staff are really pleased with their new equipment.
Andy Cotter, Managing Director of Concept Hygiene said “It is always a pleasure to be able to help out local businesses, especially when it comes to life saving equipment. The fundraising efforts at the nursery were really admirable and I’m delighted to be able to gift them this defibrillator.”
Karen Mackey, manager of Poppy and Jacks commented “I genuinely couldn’t believe it when we got a phone call to say that we had won. It is such a lovely gesture from Concept Hygiene and we could not be more grateful”.
